The Red Rose Rockets formed in October 2002 and are based around the Preston/Blackpool area of Lancashire. A small but determined group we aim to train our dogs and compete successfully whilst providing enjoyment for both dog and handler at the same time!We usually train indoors once a week at Penny Farm on a sun Night through winter, and weds nights during the summer months,due to competitions at weekends.
September 2004 saw the Rockets host our very first flyball tournament here in Blackpool at Wyevale Garden Centre, the first Flyball tournament ever staged in Lancashire! Despite the rather inclement weather, a great weekend was had by the 200 or so competitors who attended…we even managed a fly past by the Red Arrows!!!2005 we moved to Penny Farm for our competition, at there open day, Was a great sucess and booked in for 2006
