Free machine quilting in gold thread; gold bugle beads added and also small black beads.

Another colour intepretation of same design, free machine quilting using variegated metallic thread and enhanced by small black beads.

This piece took ages to complete - from a paper play exercise about 5 years ago. Pieced and Bonda Webbed onto a backing, then quilted a la Libby Lehman.

Background machine quilted then attached to a board; patchwork has wadding behind so it is 3D Am quite pleased with the results.

Pink fabric is hand quilted and green fabric is machine quilted with gold metallic thread.

I was supposed to make book covers, but I made Japanese style bags instead. I think I've been forgiven :-)
