The world in which a man lives shapes itself chiefly by the way in which he looks at it - Schopenhauer
I picked up the passion for photography from my mom who took most of my pictures when I was in pampers. I have been doing serious photography (on and off, due to time constraints) since last 15-20 years. My first camera was gift given to me back in 1970. The first SLR I used (borrowed at that time)was a Nikon almost 25 years back and exposed one role of film, to my horror not a single one was exposed properly, in fact not even printable. I was depressed and yet made a commitment to myself that I must learn how to shoot well. That is the reason for my indulgence in trying to manipulate the celluloid by using light (borrowed from nature, from time to time).
My photography equipment consists of a Nikon F-801s, Coolpix 995, Nikon Slide Duplicator ES-E28, 35-70 AF Nikkor F3.3-4.5, 28 mm F2.8 Series E, 55 mm F2.8 Micro Nikkor and 100 mm F2.8 Series E. I use SB-24 Speedlite, Electromagnetic cable release, off camera flash cable and Gossen Luna Pro light meter. I mainly like to shoot landscapes but I also indulge in other forms of photography, including but not limited to still life, children, night photography etc.
Two of my write-up's on photography have made it on the Bitbenders Website where I am a member. My pictures and write-up can be checked at the following links
The first one is entitled "Why am I taking this picture?" All the pictures in this write-up are scanned from prints.

The second one is entitled "An artist within you!" this one deals with the composition aspect of photography. All the pictures in this write-up are transparencies (originally done on the Nikon F801s. I copied all the slides from the Nikon Slide Duplicator using the Nikon Coolpix 995 Digital Camera albeit two "Enjoying the rain". and "Mariah" which are basically negatives copied with the Slide Duplicator as well. I used Photoshop 6 to tweak the negatives to achieve the final result which can be seen at
