It was once brought to my attention that proverbs was a truly funny book and in no other book is the 1 fact true about the bible that it was written for men by men. Take many a married mans favourite a nagging wife is like water dripping it is better to live on the roof than with a nagging wife In another version it is more extreme Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife or even worse Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife Here is another quote which i generally should follow also from Proverbs. When I was a boy in my father's house, still tender, and an only child of my mother, he taught me and said, "Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live. Boy heck if i had only listened to my father a bit more! Another quote alon similar lines is: Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I have nearly lost my life on may occasions to stupid things, ie juicers so listen to me and your year may be many hehe. Most of being nice is down to listening and their is lot of quotes like these which are like all these that suggest listening is the key i know if i had listened i would not be this stupid. My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Much reference is also is added to family relationships such as son or father. This is also shown in a quote which may have some relevance to me. A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother Also for those who belive bribing is wrong here states that it is neither wrong or right but you will succeed: A bribe is a charm to the one who gives it; wherever he turns, he succeeds
