Mansfield and District TUC, as a response to high unemployment, identified an opportunity to provide advice and guidance and subsequently formed NUWC. We have achieved Charitable Status and hold the CLS Specialist Mark in Welfare Benefits.

NUWC relies on a number of funding streams, at present the following funders support us;
Nottinghamshire County Council, Community Legal Services, Sure Start, Severn Trent Trust Fund, Community Fund, Lloyds TSB Trust and HBOS.
