Saxon Artefacts

After many years searching and finding very little from the Dark Ages (6th to the 10th Centuries)in my Village and surrounding area!! All of a sudden during the past two months we have been lucky enough to find many more items from the Saxon period giving us an insight to the quality of metal work produced during that time in history. The majority of finds have been Stap Ends and items related to the Horse. Hopefully over the coming months more iteresting artefacts will be uneathed. Keep checking this page to see latest finds.
