Kirsten and I went to the Red Square Restaurant, a new Russian Restaurant, to try something really different. I had the Beef Stroganoff, which was excellent and described on the menu as: 'Strips of beef fillet cooked with sour cream, mushrooms, onions, served on a bed of rice'. Kirsten had the Baranina Po-Kazachy, which was 'Tender lamb baked with potatoes, carrots, peppers, onions, herbs, garlic and coriander and black pepper, topped with mayonnaise', which was also delicious. What wasn't mentioned on the menu was that the portions were huge, and that along with the meal came a basket of black bread. The food wasn't spicy, so would be ideal for anyone who liked good wholesome food, with a twist. The restaurant was very cosy and the staff were welcoming. The meals were in the mid-priced range, £9.50 each. Definitely one to be recommended by Ladies Wot Lunch. LWL score: 9/10
