Que Pasa, 17-19 The Parade, Exmouth. 01395 223388
Kirsten and I (Rachel) fancied something spicy for our 'Wot Lunch', so we headed for the local Mexican. Que Pasa is a wonderful restaurant, which is both intimate and airy. For starters, we had a huge plate of nachos to share, which consisted of tortilla chips, sour cream, guacamole, chillies, refried bean chilli and cheese. For the main course I had beef chilli and rice, which was great, but I felt that the chilli could have been sweeter, though that is just my own taste in chilli. Kirsten had a large steak, chips and salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. This was all washed down with plenty of Coke and iced water. Overall, there was a great ambience to the restaurant, excellent food with huge portions, and all at a reasonable price. They do cheap lunchtime deals too. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to Exmouth.

:) Highly Recommended

Fruta Bomba, 44 Queen St, Exeter 01392 412233
Kirsten and I fancied something a bit different and spicy, so we headed for Fruta Bomba in Exeter, which is a small Cuban/Caribbean restaurant, just off the city centre. Kirsten had sweet potato enchiladas and I had chicken enchiladas. Both were served with salad. We thought they were very nice, but not outstanding. We washed these down with a mango juice and a diet Coke. The whole lot came to £12, which was a good middle of the range price.

LWL score: 7/10
