LAND'S END TO JOHN O'GROATS
"LEJOG" A RUN IN SUPPORT OF
"DREAMS COME TRUE CHARITY".
LEJOG, a run from Land's End to John O'Groats was completed on 31st May 2002 at 8:32 am. Covering a average distance of 35 miles per day (range 22 - 46 miles) over a 6 hour period (average speed of 9 minute miles), the 1000 mile route took 28 days. Glorious weather the first 10 days turned to exceedingly inclement weather for the second half of the run, getting exceedingly wet through the Lake District and Scotland.

I would like to thank the many friends, family and colleagues who sponsored the event and took an interest in the progress of the run. A special thanks goes to my dad who selflessly sacrificed his beautiful S-type Jag to the cause and tirelessly supported my efforts for the entire month. Further thanks goes to Rebecca who entertained three children for the entire month and still managed to keep the website updated on a daily basis.
UPDATE MAY 2003 ONE YEAR ON
On May 20th 2003 dad died peacefully after a short illness. I will be eternally grateful for all the suport he has given me throughout my life. I will miss him dearly.
