Who are LBCV?

Based in Waltham Forest, the Lea Bridge Conservation Volunteers have been doing practical conservation work to assist nature for over ten years.

LBCV work on various sites throughout the Lee Valley Regional Park and Waltham Forest. Tasks range from tree planting, scrub clearance and coppicing woods in the winter, to creating footpaths and clearing ponds in the summer.

Volunteers Welcomed

We meet at the end of Connaught Close at 10.00 am on the first Sunday of every month, sometimes an alternate Sunday, and work on a huge variety of practical conservation projects.

You do not need any experience or skills. All equipment, advice and training is provided, but please bring old clothes and a packed lunch. We provide free hot and cold drinks and transport to and from project sites.

The work is not necessarily physically demanding and volunteers are free to do as much or as little work as they feel able or willing to do.

By joining you will learn a whole range of skills, discover many new countryside areas, work with other conservation groups and make new friends.
