Statement: My own personal statement (agree with it or not). What you see here anyone of us can do. What you learn at “art school” is imma-
terial as to what you can learn for yourself, and you are not limited to certain ideals as to what “ART” should be. Everyone is a potential great artist, taught by a “school “ or self taught. We all have imagination, dreams we
would like to fulfil, songs, books, etc, that motivate us. It’s no different from art. What I have included in my portfolio is an example of the different
“schools” of art (an elitist term) that illustrates (whether you think they aren’t any good, or the best thing since sliced bread) that even I, self taught, can actually produce a painting and use materials that are to hand
to create unique works of art.

Viewers have learned to derive their own associations from my abstract art. Several viewers may comprehend my abstract work in the same way, but there may be as many explanations as there are observers.

That is why I say....do not think you cannot paint/draw, etc. How many great works of art are technically inefficient? Quite a few believe me. If you read this and thought of doing a piece of art for yourself but have felt no confidence then think of it this way - a piece of wood, painted, with a dinner plate stuck to it can be considered a GREAT work of art. That would
be more a piece of art than the Tate Gallery in London’s idea of what art is, e.g.., a pile of bricks, an unmade bed, video footage, it goes on.....Let your own imagination go free, don’t listen to the critics (those who can’t but wish
they could) put you off as a person. Art is not about “I can’t draw”, etc, it’s about putting your imaginative ideas together into physical form. Good luck to any of you who take this advice, even for your own self achievement.
