Let me not try to condition, Nor encourage inhibition, Let me teach with an open mind. To remember often,to roll back the years, To my childhood wishes, hopes & fears' Be loving, caring,& kind. Instill clear perception of their worth, No misapprehension & always mirth, Let my judgement be refined. Protect when bullies try to harm them, Provide no heroes-no self doubt, Let their lives be not maligned. When their tragedies they choose to share, I'll smile & say gently-"I know,I've been there" Let their crises be confined. When they spread their wings, fly the nest, May I soar above guilt..be circumspect, Let their paths be well defined. What a mother wants for her daughter, She wants no less for her son, Just health, love & happiness & huge amounts of fun. So when comes the time,I'm no longer there, Remember I love you..you taught me to care, Never feel sad at my departure, A mum always listens for her childrens'laughter, So wherever my journey takes me to.. Still talk to me..I'll be hearing from you.

England's emblem, glorious flower Bursting forth,on arbour & bower, Perfumed blossom..on the breeze alights, Invading our senses,on summer nights: Then bright red hips, reproduce it's glory Perpetuating, endless story. In life's travels, don't pre-suppose When enveloped with thorns, There'll never be another rose.

ANNIE's SONG SHE MARRIED A CAPTAIN,HOME FROM THE SEA, THE GIFT OF A SON MADE THEM THREE. A DAUGHTER WAS BORN,BUT ALAS, SHE DIED: SUCH A TINY BABY..THEY CRIED & CRIED. THEN RESENTFUL FAMILY BEGAN CLOSING IN, THEIR ENVY OF ANNIE,DISGUISED ONLY THIN, TOLD LIES TO THE CAPTAIN..DOUBTS SET IN. THOSE ZEALOUS TONGUES AND JEALOUS EYES, CAUSED ADVERSE REACTIONS TO ARISE... MISTRUST AND QUESTIONING,THEN COULD BE SEEN IN THIS HOME WHERE SO MUCH LOVE HAD BEEN. ANNIE LEFT THE BELOVED HOME TO RETURN TO HER MOTHER DISTRAUGHT..JUST HER AND HER DEAD BABY'S BROTHER. THE CAPTAIN WAS DESPERATE,MISSING HIS SON.. PAID HIS EVIL HELPERS TO STEAL THE LITTLE ONE. ANNE, SUICIDAL AND RACKED WITH DESPAIR, SEARCHED EVERY MAYBE..BUT FOUND HIM NOWHERE. SHE BEGGED FOR ASSISTANCE,BUT COULD NOT PAY.. THEN THE SALVATION ARMY CAME HER WAY. THEY DID WHAT THEY COULD ..BUT TO NO AVAIL: POOR ANNIE,DEMENTED AND SO THIN AND PALE. THAT MORNING THOSE DOCUMENTS,ARRIVED ON THE MAT, IN DISBELIEF ...SHE SAT AND SAT "DESERTING MOTHER,EXTRAVAGANT WAIF"UNDEFENDED CASE, THOSE WORDS DESTROYED THAT BEATIFUL FACE. SHE STRUGGLED TO CARRY THIS BURDEN THRO' LIFE, WHAT HAD SHE DONE TO DESERVE SO MUCH STRIFE? HER ONLY WISH...TO HER DYING DAY, TO HOLD HER SON IN HER ARMS..IN THAT SPECIAL WAY. SHE DIED WITH EMPTY ARMS AND A BROKEN HEART!

A kindred spirit, loving & free, Friend to everyone..Granny to me. Many the heartache had she borne Yet never a thought to sit & mourn. Sitting in her kitchen, wearing a 'Pinny', That dear, kind lady, her name was Jinny. Pearls of wisdom flowed from her lips As she pinched snuff with her fingertips. Her sad, bright eyes watch over me, From the glory of Infinity.
