As well as the programme of work that is mentioned on the "who we are" page, we are committed to assisting workers develop better working conditions and wages.

We have a full commitment to raising the profile of both Health and Safety, and equality in the workplace.

We recognise that workers also require that the social and economic development of the area in which they live has a direct effect upon thier quality of life and that of thier families.
This means that we do not just campaign on workplace issues but on all issues that effect workers in Harrogate and District.

We are represented on a number of local strategic bodies and involve ourselves fully in the development of local policies.

We place a great emphasis upon education for working people and we believe that this should, where possible, be delivered to workers in the place that they work. This allows access to education for groups of shift workers who would not normally be able to access it and also reduces the need to travel, in turn reducing the environmental impact of centrally based education.

If you have any issues that you think we may be able to assist you with please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do everything that we can to help.
