Community Empowerment Network for Haringey

You may be aware that information sessions and conferences have been taking place across Haringey over the last couple of months to raise awareness of the work of Community Empowerment Networks across the country, and how one can be developed in Haringey.

This work has now lead to the development of an Interim Planning Group, bringing together local people to consider how such a Network can be developed to benefit the communities of Haringey. To date there has been just one meeting of the Planning Group, and a series of sub-groups is now in progress. All these meetings are open to Haringey community and voluntary groups, and local residents, to attend, and I would very much encourage you to do so and to have your say as to how the Network should develop locally. On the 30th September there will be a Conference where local community and voluntary groups, and local residents, will be given the opportunity to hear back from the work of the Planning Group and decide the exact shape of the Network for Haringey. Please do your best to attend this Conference, and encourage others to attend as well. Further details of the Conference will be posted on the Website.
