Every weekend and most nights in the summer motorcycle enthusiasts ride out to Glasson Dock. One of the main reasons I suppose is the twisty country roads.
If you approach Glasson Dock coming north from Preston on the A6, immediately after passed the Flag pub come over the two bridges first one the Lancaster canal, the second a railway bridge watch this one it has a funny double crown. After second bridge turn left at traffic lights B5272 Cockerham road signposted Cockerham stay on the B5272 over a narrow bridge on the Lancaster canal, till you reach its end at junction with the A588 (Poulton to Lancaster road) approximately 4.4 miles. Turn right onto the A588 signposted Glasson Dock travel along the A588 for approximately 2.3 miles over yet another Lancaster canal bridge turn left at junction the B5290 signposted Glasson Dock, just before crossing narrow bridge over river Conder travel along this road straight on at the new mini roundabout passing the large car park on the left, after passing car park turn left opposite the Victoria Hotel you'll find a caravan The Lock Keepers rest, on the left selling tea, coffee and hot and cold food, you'll also find the Babagee a floating restaurant which also serves hot and cold drinks and a range of hot and cold food.
If you are approaching from the north M6 junction 34 or coming from the East via Devil's Bridge and Caton along the A683 you'll approach Glasson Dock through Lancaster. After passing through Lancaster at the roundabout turn right A588 Ashton road signposted Glasson Dock this again is a twisty country road carry along this road passing Ashton Hall Golf Club come passed the Stork pub cross over the narrow bridge over the river Conder then turn immediately right on the B5290 signposted Glasson Dock.

Myself and my partner Claire are motorcycle enthusiasts, up until recently we both had our own motorcycles but decided to trade them both in for different model which we felt to be more suitable to our new requirements of long distant touring. We are currently planning a trip by ferry to Northern Spain returning through France before returning by ferry to the UK.
Our previous bike's were a Yamaha Dragstar 1100 Classic and a Yamaha Fazer 600 which you'll find pictured below.

We traded both bikes in and purchased a Honda Pan European see picture below.
