This particular line of the Gathergood family is centred on the village of Deopham in Norfolk. The various generations live in the villages of Hingham, Hardingham, Deopham Green, Wicklewood  etc.
They were mainly agricultural workers but in the mid to late 1800’s leave the land and move away into towns and cities in Norfolk, North East England, South East England and in the 1900’s spread out into other parts of the UK and other countries.
