2001 Review

As the season started it was clear that Renault had a way to go before they equaled the success that they achieved in the mid 90s with Williams.

The engine was revolutionary and was still un-tested.  However they chose to stick with it, and towards the end of the 2001 season they were qualifying in the top 10.

After the poor showing in Melbourne many said that they would be battling with Minardi for last place.  But they surprised the pack by pulling 10 points out of the bag, putting the wind up Jaguar.
