2001 Review

Arrows surprised everyone by producing a relatively fast car at the season opener in Melbourne.  It was the fastest car through the speed traps but was slow through corners, there for did not move significantly up the grid.

the team was probably the most improved in the pit lane in terms of the advancements they had made.  However as the season progressed they were in positions to secure podiums, and were let down by reliability.

Pedro De La Rosa was surprisingly replaced in February by new comer Enrique Bernoldi. De La Rosa moved to Prost as a test driver, but quickly left for the better funded Jaguar Team.  He took his place on the grid in Spain.

Through the rest of the season Arrows shared the back four grid slots with the Minardi team and they did occasionally show some signs of advancement.  Only to be put back in their place by reliability.
