INTRODUCTION TO SITEI have for some time wanted to find away of putting at least some of my family history on to the web in the hope that someone might find it interesting or even connect with another family member. However, apart from a lack of knowledge I did not really want to spend any money on it.
So when I read in Family History Magazine of this site which not only provided the tools to make a web site for you it also did it for free I had to try it. I have to say that I did find it a bit limiting, only one colour, type size, no tables etc etc, so the way I wrote it in various colours and type off line, lost it’s effect on line. However, it’s a good start and you never know I might go that step further and pay for a better one, one day.
The Robinson & Broker pages follow through from the oldest know name to today through each generation directly to me, with each having the following information:-
THEIR NAME IN CAPITALS
SPOUSE
Wife’s name, date and place of birth. Parents names and occupation. Date and place of marriage and date of death of wife.
OCCUPATION
Basic details of his occupation
CHILDREN
A list of all of the know children with year of birth marriage and death. The next of my generation is in capitals with no other information.
LIFE DETAILS
A short history of that person, generally about 5 lines.
================
Each generation is separated by double line as above and below
================
The rest of the site is self explanatory except the last two pages which list alphabetically all of the surnames I know that are connected to me or as many as I can get into the space.
