1 Emperor Scorpions

ABOUT THE EMPEROR.

Scorpions have been around for about three hundred million years which make them one of the oldest living species on the planet today.
In all that time there basic form has not changed, what you see today you would have seen three hundred million years ago.
The Emperor Scorpion (pandinus imperator) is the largest of all known scorpions with some giants reaching up to eight inches in length & weighing over two ounces. Mainly from Togo & Ghana this is a forest dwelling scorpion which likes to form deep burrows and lives on a diet of insects including crickets, millipedes & even small rodents.
This is the most common breed of scorpion availible in the UK & as it is illegal to to import them all emperors are captive bred.
