Skepticism About Astrology: The Truth!Skepticism of the Randi type is just a huge middle class grey science fraud to prevent anyone not labelled an 'expert' thinking for themselves. OK, some of their targets are genuine but why are they so quiet on pseudosciences like Psychiatry (middle class occidental values assumed to be immutable; homosexuality an 'illness' in the 50's but not in today's PC climate; outright criminal lying during political trials such as that of Ezra Pound where their views on his IQ contradicted each other)?
The simple answer is that they are shoe shine boys for the Establishment who pick and choose their targets, move the demarcation lines of scientific validity to suit themselves and are in any case frequently uninformed about the philosophy of science or the claims they critique.
Astrology is a form of psychology and thus at best can only ever be a grey/soft science. Consequently it can never be 'proved' one way or another in a hard scientific manner, just as the half-baked claims of IQ testers, economists, psychologists, sociologists or psychiatrists can never be 'proved'.
