The Kincraig CHAIN WALK -
near the Royal Burgh of Earlsferry
In the 1920's a group of local folks in the villages of Earlsferry and Elie set up a committee to raise money to provide easier access to the rocks beyond Macduffs cave inlet.
The Blacksmith from the nearby village of Arncroach, was paid £100 to cut steps in the rocks, and to put up chains at the harder bits. The chainwalk as we now know it was 'born'.
