My asian stud (pictured opposite)is called Mazzelsha Khan. He is a brown silver shaded tiffanie - so all of his offspring will carry the long hair gene. He has the look, the charm and the personality to match - what else could a girl want!!The first asian that I bought was Samilse Something Special (Sammy). She was a darling and got me hooked onto the asian breed.
Next is a photo of Chadanell Angel Delight. I kept Angel from Sammy's first litter. She is a brown tortie ticked tabby. Angel's father is Fandango Creamcounty Rock who is a tiffanie, so therefore Angel also carries the long-hair gene - so maybe some tiff's for her in the future!!
At Angel's first show, as a kitten, she came first with Best of Breed and also won a trophy. At her first adult show, she was awarded her first Challenge Certificate, also with Best of Breed.
The next photo is of Chadanell Gypsy. She is a chocolate silver shaded burmilla. She is Sammy's daughter. Her father is Gr. Ch. Karesama Silver Seacharmer owned by Claire Lovell. Gypsy has got a superb short coat - I think we have to thank her dad for that!
The last of my female asians is Chadanell Shadowdancer. She is a black self tiffanie. She is as black as ebony - hence her pet name of Bonnie!
I kept Bonnie from Angel's 2nd litter. In this litter of 6 there were 3 tiffanies. Another one of them is Chadanell Minnie Theminx who is currently being shown and doing very well.
The burmilla belongs to the Asian Group of cats along with the bombays, smokes, selfs and the semi-long hair tiffanies. There are over 600 different coat patterns and colours of Asian cats.
The burmilla cat resulted from an accidental mating between a chinchilla longhair and a lilac burmese belonging to the late Baroness Miranda von Kirchberg. The resulting kittens were all black silver shaded and were so attractive that the Baroness decided to develop them as a new breed.
It is a very attractive looking cat with a superb temperament. They are very playful and outgoing and make excellent pets.
