An introduction is the start to a book and surely the start of New Age Christian Spiritualism must be in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible?

In the old Testament of the Bible there is a book called the book of Ecclesiastes. This means the Book of the Preacher in modern English and is one of my favourites.The words were made very popular at one time when an American Rock Band called the Byrds produced a best selling single called "Turn,turn,turn". The single included some of the words of the book of Ecclesiastes within the song.

It is said that the book was written by King Solomon in person. It describes the words of the Son of David,King of Jerusalem:

" And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven;this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
I have seen all the works that are done under the sun;and behold,all is vanity and vexation of the spirit.
That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.
I communed with mine own heart,saying,lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem:Yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.
And I gave my heart to know wisdom,and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of the spirit.
For in much wisdom is much grief:and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow."

" To everything there is a season,and a time to every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war and a time of peace."

A warm welcome to the New Age Celtic Christian Church to everybody!

A long time ago King Herod ordered the killing of all babies,if male and of/under 2 yars old in Bethlehem,in search of the new baby messiah (predicted to be born there by his advisors).

In the 15th century a pageant was written,by and for working people of Coventry,in tribute to the escaped child messiah and to remind people of the babies who were slaughtered. A carol from the pageant became called the "Coventry Carol":-
