Captain Edward Emerson Melly of the 1/5th York and Lancaster Battalion served in France from 1915 to the end of the First World War. He was awarded the MC and bar and saw service at Ypres 1915, the Somme 1916, Neuve Chappelle 1917, Nieuport 1917, Ypres 1917-18, and Cambrai 1918. This site is dedicated to him.
