BRETFORTON SILVER BAND
Bretforton Silver Band was formed in 1895 out of the Temperance Movement which was very popular at that time. The first recorded article about the band was in the Evesham Journal in 1895 where it is recorded that a public tea and concert were held on behalf of the Temperance Band.

The band grew in strength and in 1897 they played on top of ST Leonards Church, Bretforton to commerate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubillee. This was repeated for our own Queen's Silver and Golden Jubillees.

The temperance band soon became a 'Brass' band and eventually changed its name to Bretforton Silver Band. With the support of the village the band has flourished for 108 years and remains a strong band.
