Today is the birthday of the Church, Pentecost. On that day, fifty days after the Resurrection of the Lord, the Holy Spirit came down on those gathered in prayer in the upper room. The sevenfold gifts of the Paraclete enabled them to change the world. Our prayer today is for a similar outpouring of the Spirit in our time. Blessed Sacrament Procession. This will take place at Ushaw College on Sunday 8th June and members especially of the Association of the Eucharist, of which we have quite a few in parish, are invited to attend. Of course everyone will be welcome.
The afternoon commences at 2pm with Exposition and the Procession will be at 3pm. Confessions will be available between 2pm and 3pm.
Details are on the notice board.
