Our Constitution
1. An Annual General Meeting will be held in the first quarter of each year with a minimum of 51% of the membership present.
2. A Committee will be elected consisting of a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer plus other members either elected or co-opted. The total number of elected and co-opted members will be a minimum of 6. The elected members will stand for one year with an option to continue.
3. The purpose of the club is to promote enjoyment for all through the medium of folk dancing and to keep the spirit of folk dancing alive.
4. The club will also promote tuition for all its members.
5. Membership is available, and encouraged, but not compulsory. The local community is encouraged to join by advertisements in local publications which contain the Secretary's contact telephone number for information.
6. Should the club cease to exist, any residual funds would be distributed as agreed by the majority of the membership.
7. Any proposed ammendments to this constitution will be approved by voting at an Annual General Meeting.
