The Arvon Stud began in 1958 following my grandfather Mr Walter Willoughby Williams purchase of Meifod Ballerina. Her sire was Coed Coch Madog and her dam Meifod Folly FS1 by Coed Coch Glyndwr. She won first prize at the Royal Welsh Show at Rhyl in 1956. She was our foundation mare and to date we have bred over 80 Welsh Mountain Ponies.

My grandfather judged the RWS in 1972 at Builth Wells. Over the years he has also judged at several County level shows and numerous local shows.

When I was a year old my grandfather gave me Arvon Enoch a three year old black gelding. I rode and drove him regularly with my father until I had totally outgrown him. He was then sold to a riding school who specialised in riding for the disabled.

We have a small breeding programme and aim to produce ponies up to height with excellent conformation, showring presence and extravagant action.

Sadly my grandfather passed away on the 3rd of March 2004. I aim to continue breeding and showing my wonderful ponies.
