I like making hairpieces and falls from wool; For the very simple reason that it is the only thing I use that doesn't have to be ordered online. Yarn and wool make the lightest, most adaptable falls; Braided, wrapped, or left loose, and in dozens of strange textures and bright colours, it is lightweight and versatile, perfect for clubbing, and they simply cannot be beaten for making huge Anime/cosplay/manga style hair that wont give you neckache or fall off if your own hair is a bit insubstantial. Cos that would be embarassing....
Loose (Crinkle YarN)
Aha, a popular choice. I assure you wont be disappointed with these :-P These have some of the look of loose hair, and some of the look of fine dreads, are very full and thick and soft. If you ever wanted hugely long, thick ponytails but have been left by nature with hair that gets to your chin and then stubbornly refuses to grow any more, then these are for you.
My stocks in this kind of yarn are ever-changing, both in colour and brand. I have, in general, Four kinds of yarn that can be used. 'Chunky crinkle' yarn, 'snowflake' yarn, 'Velvet' yarn, and 'baby crinkle'.
The chunky crinkle is the heaviest and thickest, and is available in; Hot Pink, Bubblegum Pink, UV Alien Green, Pale Violet, White, Blonde (a mix of pale and golden brown shades, similar to dark blonde, also looks great with light brown hair), Black/White, Autumn Red-Gold, Powder Blue,or Rust (deep orange).
NEW COLOURS! Red/Black..... Orange/Black..... Green/Black..... Peacock..... Amethyst..... Deep Blue..... Sky Blue..... and Cerise (purple/bright pink mix).
The Snowflake yarn is the most variable, a little lighter and finer then the chunky, and is usually available in; Black*, Cobalt Blue*, Silver*, Burgundy, Dark Blue, baby pink. (Asterisk denotes that the yarn is sparkly. Looks like fairy-glitter. Very cute!)
Velvet Yarn is thus called because it looks like strips of fine, soft velvet. Very soft, very unusual. It is usually avaiable in; Burgundy, Deep Purple, Baby Pink, Baby Blue.
Finally, the Baby Crinkle yarn is the very fine version of the Chunky; Super lightweight and nice. I can get most colours in this, but some of the nicest are; Violet, Turquoise, Pale Pink, Magenta, Red, Plum, Purple.
Any of these different yarn types can be used, and often make gorgeous textures when put together. If there's anything you don't see that you would like, then mail me, and I'll see what I can do :-)
*ALL my yarn falls are made in the same way as my 'professional' synthetic hair falls; A lot of sellers will sell you blindingly cheap yarnfalls, but you will often find that they are mounted onto a cloth hairband rather then being made into a proper hairpiece. Believe me, you'll know the difference once you've worn it.*
A pair of loose yarn falls, waistlength, in two colours, would be £20.
A single yarn fall, waistlength, in two colours, would be £15.
A pair of shoulder length yarn falls, in two colours, would be £14.
A single yarn fall, shoulder length, two colours, would be £9.
These can be made into pretty much any length that you can imagine; They're light enough to be worn down to the ground, and indeed they have been, although I highly recommend that you keep away from any kittens. Cats + Fake Hair = Dreadlocks. Even if you dont want them. Natch.

Braided Yarn FallS
Now, these are fun. In my head I call them 'Technomuppet' falls after P0rl, a contemporary (lol) of myself who once used the phrase 'wooley headed techomuppet' in my presence and now gets his moment of glorious fame because of it. See children, if you're lucky, your name *will* live forever ;-)
Made from handbraided sections of yarn, these pieces are limited only by the imagination. They are mounted and sewn into place, and guarantee a very big, full looking style. They look rather like dreadlocks, especially under clublight, but are much lighter and softer, and they will last simply forever, as they are as washable as machine knit. Each braided section can be in one solid colour, or a mix of several, they can be any length and pretty much any colour you can imagine. The ends can be left loose or tied off neatly, and loose sections of the yarn can also be incorporated into the falls.
These falls take hours to make. They are very thick and full, and can take between 3 and 10 hours to make; The materials are not that expensive but the sheer amount of time and tedium involved ensure that these are not the 'cheap' option!
I have no actual colour charts available for these, as the colours I can get at any one time are hugely varied and supplies are ever changing; Rest assured, I can almost definately get whatever you desire to have. We're talking regular DK knitting yarn here, and I live in Plymouth, where the residents of Bournemouth go when they feel that it's time to slow down; Believe me, if you want it I can get it :-p
All pieces are individual, but for example; A pair of Technomuppet falls, 15" long (babydread sweeping shoulder length) with 20 braids in each fall will be about £25.
A single babydread length fall, with 30 braids, will be £19.
A pair of 30" falls (arse length) with 20 braids in each fall will be about £35.
A single 30" fall with 30 braids will be about £30.

There is nothing on this earth that is more tedious to make. Believe me, I know.
Sort of similar to the braided falls, except, they have a more dread like appearance, and can be made with swirls of colour running through them, rather like synth hair dreads. I will ONLY make these in shoulder length (to do otherwise would risk total insanity). I can do them in any colour if its made with plain yarn, or in Black, Brown, Purple, Fuschia, Emerald Green, or Wasp Yellow if its made with fluffy yarn (makes a very dread-like appearance, it is how the ones in the photo below were made).
A pair of shoulder length Wrapped Yarnfalls, 20 count, would set you back about £28.
A single shoulder length wrapped yarnfall, 30 count, would be about £21.

This is a new item, and one of my favourite things ever :-) These consist of a single loose yarn fall, and a matching Alice Band that has a lot of matching yarn braided onto it. When worn together, with some of the yarn from the band pulled back and pinned in around the base of the fall, the effect (when worn only with chunky crinkle yarn - other yarn types will give slightly different effects) is of having a a headful of fine dreads. The natural hair is completely covered and it looks fab. The set I am wearing in the pic is in bubblegum pink and violet, and is shoulderlength. These are a very lightweight, very easy-wear option for totally faking it, either clubwear or daywear.
*please note, baby crinkle yarn cannot be used with these sets*
A shoulderlength hairpiece set in two colours will be about £30.
A long hairpiece set, in two colours, will be about £40
