Aberystwyth rowing club is the premier rowing club in the Wales Longboat league Cymru. During the 2001 season Aberystwyth won the overall club trophy by winning the Senior Men, Veteran Men, and the Womens titles whilst coming second and third in the Mixed category.
During the 2002 season Aberystwyth again won the overall club trophy by coming second in the Senior Men, Veteran Men and the Womens categories whilst winning the Mixed, under 18 girls and under 16 categories.
The 2003 season was a fantastic season for Aberystwyth. Again we won the overall club trophy by coming first in the Senior Men, the Women, the Mixed, the under 18 girls and under 16 girls categories whilst the Veteran Men only managed to come second in their group.
The Club has 2 Pembrokeshire Longboats, 3 Celtic Longboats and 2 Teifi Skiffs. These boats are rowed in the Harbour and inshore waters of the Cardigan bay.
There has been along history of rowing in the Aberystwyth area centered around the fishermen and pleasure craft of the main beach
